How carpet steam cleaning actually works
Truck-mount equipment heats water to 200°F+ and injects it into the carpet under high pressure, then vacuums it back out along with soil, oils, and allergens — all in one pass. It is the cleaning method most carpet manufacturers require for warranty maintenance.
Steam vs. dry cleaning
Dry (low-moisture) carpet cleaning is faster — usually dry in 1–2 hours — but does not lift as much soil. For periodic deep cleaning, steam is the right call. For touch-up between deep cleanings or for moisture-sensitive carpet, dry cleaning is fine.
Drying time
After steam cleaning, expect 4–8 hours of drying time. Open windows, run AC, and use ceiling fans to speed things up. Most homes are fully dry by morning.
Deepest clean
Reaches embedded soil that vacuuming cannot.
Allergen reduction
Hot extraction lifts dust mites and dander.
Warranty-friendly
Most carpet warranties require hot-water extraction.
Truck-mount power
High-temp, high-vac equipment for fast drying.
